White Noise and Atwood
in Margaret Atwoods poem, we find the whole thing was about a what a what and a what. i would relate it to White Noise as well because Babette only talks about what happened but she kept saying "never mind why". there was a different outcome to their perfect little life. it was as if it were another story written for them like an option A or B or C... they were living in their own world where they didnt worry about things that could harm them, and then you get Babette's fear of death, then we get a separet story for jack's fear of death.

girl scouts
i think the reason girl scouts sell cookies is to build skills for success in the real world also, to develope qualities like leadership.

deconstruction
so my sister and i were talking and the subject of love came up. i found a perfect chance to deconstruct the word love. i asked her wat it means and she said it doesn't exist. i asked her what does it mean for people love not to exist. she said that people make up their own feelings and put a label on it. so i said what does it mean to make something up? she said it is to make something out of nothing!! these you go, love has just been deconstructed!!

writer-character distance
When a writer writes about real characters, i don't think that it is their opinions on what the characters say and believe. On the other hand, when the characters are made up, the writer does put in their views and opinions because insights portray actions. The feelings of the writers are usually revealed in their writings. That is how stories are made, they are creative thoughts of the writer put on paper.

art
the artist decides if something is called art. Otherwise there would be no point of creating it. To design something the artist must have an idea in mind in what they are creating. It is not up to anybody else to decide if it is or not art because their view is different than the "artists".

disorder
The poem From Sand Creek, portrays the celebration of disorder of post modernism. Where the author says, "my life was already stolen". The life of humans can only be stolen through death. In this poem, he has not died, he has memories of the past that he considers his life being ion control of, and not by him. "i should have stolen". The writers feeling shave changed from scared to more of a regret. He thinks upon his past and what has happened to him and wishes he had stolen his life. His life is all he had and it was stolen.

language...
the breakdown of words and meaning lies in understanding of reality. Words describe actions, feelings, descriptions and thoughts. "Toast was an implement of torture that caused all those subjected to it to regurgitate in verbal form the sins and crimes of their past lives". In this is states that feeling are proclaimed as words. Their life experiences are shown through out words. "What is electricity"? Words are questioned because they need to be explained. Our language breaks down into simple words that can describe "something", anything" and a "thing".

hyperreality
As a girl my hair has always been so thin that you could practically see through it; which is why i ordered the Mane'n Tail shampoo after seeing an advertisement on tv. The advertisement promised for "stronger, healthier more fuller looking hair"(Straight Arrow). I can tell you that after using that shampoo i did not see any difference at all. My hair stayed straight and thin and dead as it was. I didn't think it was such a good idea to keep using the shampoo when i found out that "people started using the products to achieve the beautiful results they saw with their own horses' manes and tails" (Straight Arrow). Maybe thats why my hair wasn't changing. Obviously my hair was nothing compared to horses hair! So much for tv, it just makes everything work good on other people but somehow doesnt work on me.

crisis of modernity
As Christians, with the crisis of modernity, i think we see it more as a tradition, so we sorta fall in with the postmodernist, whatever happens, happens kinda thing...as Christians tho, we need to be the influence on the postmodernist and show Gods love to them...they can live better with Jesus!
metafictional??
The last paragraph in Happy Endings is metafictional because the fictional writing is self-consciously drawing attention to its position in the question about the relationship b/w fiction and reality.

captain jack sparrow...postmodern
the movie Pirates of the Carribean is a postmodern movie because it recaptures and represents the setting featuring the past. Jack Sparrow is a postmodern because he doesn't really care about anything and just acts himself...whatever happens, happens!

ants
i was at at a bible study on Friday night and there was this one new girl that came from Moses Lake, as i later found out. She wasn't really talkative and only knew one person there so i just went over there and just asked her name and where she was from. Then i asked her to hang out with us the next day but she never showed up...at least i tried. Usually i get to know people if they are with my friends and are new or something but this time i just kind of did it myself to break free my little comfort zone, but it wans't that bad.

approval...disapproval?
i don't really know of it's important if it's approval or disapproval but to me it seems like Claudius is just giving them another thing for them to do for him and they don't know whats going to happen...

echoes...
i think the echoes are just their useless talk in a place where they really aren't known or really useful. . .kinda just in a little world of their own that echoes their words all back to them, they never really give messages to anyone.
