baiting

Baiting was very often used by the King and Queen and also by Polonuis. First, the King and Queen used Rosenkrantz and Guildernstern to get information on Hamlet and observe his madness. Tehy used ohelia to prove to them wheter Hamlet was really in love with her or mot and if it was the cause for the madness. They also used Polonius but not in the same way because Polonuis kinda offered himself to spy on Hamlet. Polonius used Reynaldo to spy on Laertes. H also used Ophelia to play up Hamlets love.

T.S. Elliot

T.S. Elliot's structure, to me, portrayed him as a wallflower. He just kind of glanced back at his life, saw what he did, the way he acted in situations, the things he said. Now that he is just sitting there he sees all this and is mad to change and not repeat his old life again. The way he compared himself to Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern was that they were no body's. And then he sees himself as Hamlet, which was the main person, without him there would be no story, so now he starts that process of change. . .

does Claudius think Hamlet is mad???

At this point, i don't think that Claudius thinks that Hamlet is mad. Now he is just threatened by him because he knows that Hamlet knows about the murder. Not to be caught guilty before it's too late, he decides to have him leave for the safety of himself and Gertrude. But really he is only trying to protect himself but uses Hamlets madness as the excuse. Earlier i think he did think it was madness...up until the play.

worldviews???

Hamlet is pushed to be an example; in a way of speaking. When he wanted to go to school, his parents wanted him to stay, and he obeyed them.
